Just wanted to share this email exchange I had with JON @ the LostBlog with everyone.
Update 1: Also, with respect to LOSTBlog.com podcast: Never have asked for name, address and phone. Never will. Just asked for a name and an email. I did ask those who emailed me their location, for general curiosity.

Jon,
Thanks for the email back.
I think you’ll find we have a few more things in common then you hinted.
After Lost has made a similar request and response to my identity / lack there of. I mutually respect and understand your reservations.
As has been pointed out, there’s alot to do / figure out. I’ve hinted at the Legal concerns.
I baked this idea months before Lost ended. Why do Trekkies get all the fun???
In speaking with another podcaster, before I came up with the name & website, they seem to be really committed to a meet-up / con too.
I know podcasters are key so I hope my alliance will quell some concerns. I don’t plan to come out unless it becomes a total necessity, which it may as things progress. Talent and sites cost money.
I’d only ask you to do the following:
1. Be fair – I’m not perfect, will make mistakes and most of all, need help.
2. Do whatever you feel comfortable with. Promoting, assistance, etc…
Lastly Location: well, I feel like the west coast gets all the love. I can’t speak to the location yet, but I’d ask you to STRONGLY consider coming even if it’s in Boston, DC, NY, Ann Arbor, Fl, or in the Midwest. I could easily tell people where I’m doing it, but I’m not. I’m going to work to make it a mutually accessible place. If I picked a mountain house in WV, I’m sure turnout would be horrible. As I recently hinted. I think it would be nice to have a place with some general ‘tourist traps’ too, even some that have similarities to Lost.
Feel free to share this. I may post this conversation on islandcon.com if you don’t object.
Stay LOST

Hey, thanks for the email.
And not freaking out re: our comments on the podcast. I do admit to
speaking from ignorance, as I had only perused your site very briefly
before we started blabbing.
I myself am ‘just a fan’ that started a crazy idea of rewatching all
episodes between season 5 and season 6 with regularly scheduled tweetups
where we all watched and tweeted at the same time. That landed me this
job at LOSTblog where we’re trying to keep the light illuminated with
rewatches and bookclubs and podcasts, etc.
I’ve built my twitter following from 0 to almost 1,500 followers (and
probably a MUCH lower number of active followers) over this past year, and
people know me for who I am. Just a fan.
I’m totally behind the idea of a convention, it’s the next logical step in
keeping LOST going as a fan-verse. So if I can lend my paltry following
to your cause, I’m glad to.
Just be aware, with anonymity comes caution from many fans, that look to
new comers with a slightly cynical eye. But I do understand reasons for
anonymity, it’s a risk being open about who I am behind the curtain.
Looking forward to the ballpark in the cornfield, just hope it’s built in
Dallas, I doubt I could travel much further beyond that.
Jon.
Enjoying the most recent podcast. Fair points.
I’m not anyone special, just a fan. Choosing to be private for now for my
reasons. One being, ‘Mother’ put it best: Every answer brings more
questions.
As for what / why I’m doing this.cSimple.
Think Field of Dreams : If you build it, they will come.
More in all due course.
Stay LOST!!
